Learn how to construct this classic, popular pattern with the greatest of ease, using specially printed fusible interfacing available at the shop.

Double Wedding Ring motif (detail)
You will need four panels of printed interfacing for a lap size quilt or wall hanging. Choose two contrasting colours (solids or small, overall prints) for the rings (florals or '30's fabrics work very well). You will need a half meter of each. Choose two contrasting solids for the corners of the blocks (it can be the same fabric as the rings, or a darker or lighter solid that goes with your prints). You will need a quarter meter of each corner fabric. You will need three meters of background fabric. For yardage charts for seven quilt sizes, plus yardage for 13 variations of fabric combinations, we recommend the book Double Wedding Ring in a Hurry by Michael & Mary Henderson, published by the American School of Needlework.
