These adorable and colourful kimono blocks can be used to showcase your floral or Japanese prints in decorative wall hangings or lap quilts!
We will make these pieced kimonos with a prairie point collar. You will need a small piece of template plastic (8" x 8" / 20 cm x 20 cm) and the usual sewing supplies. Please bring an assortment of florals and Japanese fabrics. Each block can be different, so the fabrics do not have to be coordinated. Scraps can be used (9" x 9" / 23 cm x 23 cm), and fat eighths will allow you to share with a friend for variety. You will need a half meter of background fabric, a half sheet of template plastic, a small piece of freezer paper (optional) and a pencil. Several setting options will be discussed.
